How to make an audio loop without a DAW

Why audio loops click at the seam
A click often appears when the waveform ends at a different amplitude than it starts. A short crossfade overlaps the end and beginning, easing that jump. Tight rhythmic material may need only 10–25 milliseconds; ambience and sustained sounds can benefit from a longer blend.
